Our Dad

This post is in memory of our dad. He was an amazing man that taught us all so much. He had a great sense of humor and a zest for life. He was always there when anyone needed him. We will miss him alot. It is hard for us to move on without him, but we will as a family and always keep him in our hearts. He will always be my hero! We love you Dad!

Update

I know it has been along time since I have posted anything. Life has been busy for us.
Murray is in the home stretch with his schooling. He should be home the middle of next month. I thought I would share some of his work. I am so very proud of him and all that he has accomplished this year. Once his demo reel is completed, we will try to post it. I can not wait to see his name on the big screeen.

It is hard to believe on January 2nd we were packing his stuff and looking for a place for him to live. Now we are looking at packing him up again and bringing him home again. FOREVER!! Yahooo!

Vancouver Island

This weekend my parents, sister and nephew and I went to the Island to visit my Uncle Bob.
The weekend was great, we went to Butchart Gardens and did some visiting and some shopping. It was great to just hang out with everyone and enjoy the wonder weather on Friday and Sunday. Uncle Bob arranged a tour for us to go up to the top of the boat to the command centre where the captain and crew work. It was really neat, I have never been up there before.

Life Update

I know it has been along time since I have posted anything. Murray and I are both doing well.
Next week Murray will be completing another term. We are almost 1/2 way through his school year. Hopefully he will come home for his term break. It will depend on how much work he has during this break. The top picture was taken while I was visiting with Murray last week.

On May 23rd, I went for carpal tunnel surgery. What an experience it has been. I have been humbled by it to say the least. Here are just a few things that I have learned to do since the surgery was on my right hand.

1. Using utensils to feed myself with my left hand, including chopsticks
2.Get dressed with one hand (after the first week) Mom had to help me during the first week.
3.Put on a seatbelt and close a car door with one hand
4. Type with my left hand only(which I am doing right now)
5. Cope with only having one hand to do everything
6. And many more things

I am doing much better, my stitches and partial cast have come off and I will be able to drive in about a week and half. I am looking forward to being able to do more on my own soon. The recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks. So that is not to bad. The relief that I have gotten so far has been worth it all. It will keep getting better day by day. Yipee

Thank you very much to everyone that has helped me out. I really appreciate ALL of your help.

Winery Tour

Yesterday we went to the winery for a tour. On their website it said that there are tours all day, but to call if there are 10 or more people in your group. So we did not call ahead as there was not 10 of us. When we got there they said there was no tours and if we want a tour, we would have had to call ahead. SOOOOO we never went on a tour, we just did wine tasting. My favorite wine was the dessert wines, they are sweet. I loved the raspberry one. After the wine tasting we went to the fort just down the road and did some shopping, then back to Keith and Teri's for an amazing bbq dinner. Thanks guys for the wonderful day.

Administration Day

I recieved the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from everyone at my work for Administration week. I was so shocked and touched and speechless. I had to share!!! WOW !! Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers everyone!

As most of you are aware, I will be unemployed as of June 29th as we were not successful in getting the contract this year. A new service provider will be taking over in just a few weeks. I have been busy look for work and I have had an interview. So we will see how this turns out. I truly believe that the perfect job will come, and everything happens for a reason. I am not sure what the lesson is in this one, but I am sure it will be something to remember. I will miss our team so much, they are an amazing group of people. We are really like family. It will be very hard to say good bye to them, but we will keep in touch for sure.

Emma Update

Emma is doing really well. She is getting so big, so fast. She can say juice, mommy and I think daddy. We dropped in for a quick visit. She was so much fun. Here are a few pics

Nintendo Wii Night

Tonight David came over with his Nintendo wii. We all played a few games of bowling and then the guys decided to do some boxing. It was great. I enjoyed watching this video of Dave and Murray.
