Yesterday Murray and I went down to Rotary Stadium's dirt BMX track, to watch Jordan and Jace ride and do some jumps. They were alot of fun to watch.

Hi, I'd like a Grande Cafe Mocha, extra shot and a low-fat, sugar-free Grande Vanilla Cafe Latte please!

Well, we finally got one! A "real" espresso machine: 15 bar Italian made pump, dual-wall crema system, die-cast warming tray, all wrapped in a luminous brushed-steel body.

We enjoyed our first drinks from this machine last night and were so giddy (me Murray, at least) watching the gorgeous crema (the top layer of caramel-coloured foam that starts to dissipate seconds after the shot is poured, for all you Timmy's Double-Double preferring bunch) pour into the two espresso cups. In fact, I was so enamoured with this event that I completely forgot to take a picture for any interested food-bloggers! Ah, well. Many more shots to make and a picture to take.

We'll be opening up shop to friends and family so you may get your caffeine fix too!

Girls Weekend

This past weekend Teri, Tracey, Mom and I went on our first girls weekend away. We went to Lynnwood in the States. We planned on shopping all weekend. We shopped from morning until night. We had quite the adventure. It started on Friday night, we got to our hotel room and settled in and decided to get some shopping done and go for a nice dinner at Black Angus. We had steak and crab. It was an amazing dinner. Then back to the hotel room. We were giggling and looking at the new stuff we bought, when someone knocked on the door and shhhooooouuuusssshhhed us. We were surprised by that as we were not really that loud. So that was fine, we all went to bed. Later that night we could hear a cell phone ringing in the room next to us and someone knocking on the door. Geesssh !!! None of us had a good sleep. We had requested twice that all the feather pillows be taken out of the room as Tracey is very allergic to them, well that was not done. So we decided to get ready and go for our complimentary continental breakfast and then find another hotel to stay at for the next night. Well the food was the worst I have ever had, the eggs were cold, the bagels were rock hard. It is a really good thing we had mini bottles of bailey, so we made our coffee taste great atleast.

So we were off on our way to go shopping again and to find another hotel. We had a great day shopping and we went to the Macaroni Grill for lunch. We had a great day and we found lots of fun things.

We started our search for a new hotel. Who would have thought it would be so hard for us to find. We went to 2 hotels and they had no rooms, so we decided to go close to Bellis Fair. We found one hotel and it was a dive, so we moved on to another. We ended up staying at the Best Western close to Bellis Fair mall. The rooms were very Victorian style, they were clean and quiet. We told the girl at the front desk we wanted a quiet room and we needed to get a good night sleep. So our room was on the first floor facing away from the freeway. We ordered in from the pita pit and had some wine and margaritas. It was great and quiet and the beds were comfy. Well it was quiet until 4 am, when the fire alarm went off and the fire truck came, luckily the firetruck did not have sirens on. But we could see the lights through the window in our room. The fire alarm was like nothing any of us had ever heard. So once again we did not get a good night sleep. We finally settle once again for the night and the alarm went off again. It turns out someone was smoking in the other building and it set off all of the smoke alarms in all the builings. We did end up getting some sleep and the next morning we went for an amazing continental breakfast. We figure we got at most 7 hours sleep in 2 days. But I have to say after all of that. We had an amazing time.

I had so much fun and I can not wait to do it again. Thanks Teri and Mom and Tracey for all the laughs and all the fun. Teri when I wear either of my necklaces I will think of all the fun we had and the great taste we both have.
