On Friday we had Keith and Teri over for dinner and a relaxing evening. We sure had alot of fun planning an cooking up a storm. It was such a great evening with the 4 of us just hanging out and chatting. Thanks Keith and Teri for the great evening.

New kitchen knobs

Here are the new kitchen cabinet knobs. Keith and Teri had these knobs and won't be using them in the new house, so they gave them to us free. We are thrilled with the new knobs.

Rebel

Many of you have been asking how Rebel is coping without his brother. So here is an update. Rebel is seeking more of our attention lately. He has disturbed my sleep every night as he wants to snuggle (but I don't mind) He is dealing with everything very well. You could say he's been hanging around and watching videos!

Should we have said, many videos?

My dad has said he wants to come back as one of my cats in his next life.

I can't imagine why.

Homemade Soup

On Saturday my mom and I made some homemade cream cauliflower and broccolli soup. If I do say so myself it turned out really yummy. Yesterday and today I had it for lunch. mmmmmm goood!!!!

Congratulations Murray

Yahooo!!!! Congratulations to Murray. Not many people get an opportunity to follow their dreams. Murray has been accepted to go to school for computer special F/X and the funding to back him has been approved. This has been a dream of ours for the past 10 years and now it is going to be reality. We are so very excited to get this news. Murray will start school in Jan 2007. Thank you so much to his employment counsellor and everyone who supported us and helped us get to this point. Here are two examples from his sketch portfolio.

In Loving Memory

Last week we lost 2 of my uncles. It was very hard to lose them, they were both amazing men and they loved their families. They both lived in 2 different provinces, my parents and I drove to be with the families through this rough time.

On our way home we got news that Bear also passed away. Bear was our kitty for 12 years. He brought us lots of love and many laughs. He was such a docile kitty, Murray used to sit at the kitchen table and Bear would be on his back on Murray's lap and the 2 of them would read the paper together. He will be missed. For those of you who knew him, you know how sweet he was.

We will miss all 3 of them very much. Our thoughts are with our families.

I will miss Bear bringing me his hacky sack in the middle of the night. Also cuddling up with him.

I remember Uncle Murphy taking all the cousins in his station wagon to go rollerskating in the States at a family reunion. I have many more memories of him, but this one stands out the most and makes me smile the most. I am glad I had a chance to visit with him the last time he was here.

I remember our trip to Whistler as a family with Auntie Kathy and Uncle Lloyd. We had a great time in Whistler sight seeing and just hanging out.

Hair cut

I have not blogged for awhile so I thought I had better get to it. On Friday I went and got my hair cut and colored. Since we are going into the fall, I wanted to get my hair darker. I found that the last time I got my hair blonde I looked pale, and we all know I can not afford to look anymore pale. Also I thought it was getting a bit to long. So here is my new streaks. I really like chocolate brownish red streaks. I think Laura my hairdresser did a good job. So what do you think? I am really not found of these pictures of me, but oh well it is about the hair lolol I am not sure if the pictures show the streaks enough
